I'm honestly clueless when it comes to thumbnails. Some of my videos get a solid 7-10% CTR, but the last two really tanked—both below 3%. I feel like thumbnails need a certain level of clickbait magic, which I just don't have. Also, YouTube has been promoting my videos everywhere, to every audience imaginable, and I even had to notify them this wasn't going to work and they should only promote it to people interested in cryptocurrency. They’re testing my crypto content on audiences who watch stories about UFOs and religious stuff... I’m skeptical about the thumbnails strategies I’ve found online, but if anyone’s had success with high reach and CTR, I’d love to hear how you do it!
