Once again crypto investors followed unconfirmed reports and bought massively after fake news appeared in the social media. Twitter account @Litecoin tweeted a fake globnewswire report claiming that Walmart was going to accept Litecoin as a payment method. News like this should be cross referenced and due diligence has to be performed, but not in the irresponsible #CryptoTwitter. There, anything works. On Twitter you can write anything about anyone, without any confirmation or just being biased without any major repercussions. Well, when it comes to fake news, this means they are easily refuted, since Walmart has already denied these reports and explained that this was a fake report by a fake account. The message by Twitter account Litecoin has since been deleted although it managed to create this collosal pump and dump. An irresponsible if not well calculated Tweet I'm sure many bots bought. #Litecoin #PumpAndDump #FakeNews
