I just read a great article on the Metaverse: "To work for everyone, the Metaverse must be decentralized" by Ariel Saphira, on Cointelegraph. Link: https://cointelegraph.com/news/to-work-for-everyone-the-metaverse-must-be-decentralized A masterpiece, I recommend reading it. I also tried to support an argument about a decentralized Metaverse a few days ago on read.cash, and I find hope there are people in the field that understand the concept and agree on the principles. link: https://read.cash/@Pantera/a-trustless-and-decentralized-metaverse-is-the-main-objective-f53eb278 Now, the Metaverse, may not be just one, but perhaps there can be some standard set and an interconnected 3D environment supported by multiple participants and corporations. However, I think a decentralized Metaverse having its roots on blockchain networks and with the use of NFTs and fast transaction speeds will work better than anything else. I also think that the speed of transactions is more important than many other features since the Metaverse will probably grow into a colossal digital economy. Cryptocurrencies will be essential in this, and NFTs is already the standard that won't find competition from private companies.
