I was browsing the readcash list that includes the top-tipped articles for the last 12 months. link: https://read.cash/?sort=top&duration=year A few interesting observations I made: 1. Non of my articles is featured in the top 10 (not even in the top 30) 2. The top 2 articles are e-begging 3. The first of my articles in this list is ranked 33rd and received most of the tips from the Random Rewarder. Clearly, I am not comparing my essays with BCH devs and community articles, whom I deeply respect and admire. Everyone on the development side is doing incredible work with limited resources. The comparison is with other writers and the tips everyone received. In the past 12 months I published around 150 articles (not sure). I got low tips, though, which I gave all back and also paid several more BCH from my wallet to tip other writers, pay for cashrains, tips in QR codes, and donate to flipstarters. So apparently, there is no income from writing. Not from Medium either where I get paid like $100/month for 30k views and 15,000 minutes of reading time monthly. Still, I find it unacceptable to a) run flipstarters asking for BCH to keep writing content or b) resorting to internet begging. That's me, though. Everyone has different standards. However, it is discouraging watching donations flow to internet beggars and grifters. My profitable trades and my BCH investment being again close to profit (~$260 I'm in profit) made 2023 a decent year after the devastating losses of 2022. However, income from tips/donations on content was low, and in fact I paid way more than I received. Sadly, we watch e-beggars catching attention with questionable work and motives.
