You know, gambling is for fools. Lemmy would counter this argument by singing “that’s the way I like it, baby”, but there are some things we should consider. Lemmy was talking about gambling as entertainment. I see limited entertainment when gambling online. If you are playing competitive gambling games as poker, you don’t even know if there is an admin involved that could “potrip” you with any hand. Poker (Texas Hold em mostly) is the one game that some can beat with enough knowledge, intelligence, and experience. When online though, you don’t know if opponents have just disabled chat, or cheating you blatantly using sopihsticated bots. The rest of the games are worthless, with odds always against the player, either online or live. Blackjack can’t be beaten either, today. When the security notices collusion between players and card counting, they are throwing the culprits out of the casino and banning them for life. In general, the house will always win. I have seen some streamers acting like scammers when getting a great deal to advertise gambling games. Some of them are really worthless and unskilled enough to even understand the concept of gambling and will just lead thousands of their followers right at the hands of these wolves. Stake(.)com had paid some streamers on twitch and they all were winning money playing slots! They are looking for the naive and stupid, since they deliberately adjusted the pay-out odds to allow these dishonest streamers to win when playing in front of thousands of viewers. A total scam advertising tactic from stake(.)com and others. Online gambling doesn’t need to scam players though, they just want you to keep losing slowly. However, there are some greedy mofos that will totally rip you off in minutes. If you want my opinion on online gambling: Stay away from it, you will lose your shirt. Visit a real casino if you so much enjoy gambling, at least you will socialize there and meet some interesting people. Online gambling totally sucks.
