It works better without tips. When tips are around, people just spam anything just to earn. No tips means everyone posts because they actually have something real to say. That makes the community much better anyway.

I think the two of them got along well here. Then the copycats showed up and complicated everything. How can we avoid them? I don't know. For now, we've reconnected, and it's been rewarding to be on good terms again, with no strings attached.

Tips are needed to keep things going. In theory, it makes more sense for a real community to be established, where people come to read.cash for read.cash, but the reality is the opposite. This isn't the typical social media platform like X, and this is due to how it all started. BCH rewards. While a sense of community exists, it would be a lie to say the monetary rewards don't matter. Everyone that joined read.cash from the beginning, joined because of the monetary reward it offered. I see some peeps calling those that left after the rewards stopped hypocritical. Probably trying to feel superior by staying behind with hidden hopes that rewards would resume, while lying to themselves that they're not here for the rewards. They forget that if the rewards weren't there in the first place, they wouldn't have cared about a certain new platform called read.cash in 2020/2021. I understand that real communities have been built here, where people interact, communicate, and feel at home with each other regardless of nationality or race, but we have to remember that that community started from the pull of monetary rewards, which then transcended into genuine relationships. Amidst these genuine relationships, came spammers. Story for another day. Without a reward system, the community will remain small, and will continue to get smaller until everyone leaves once more, like they all did at first, before the current, new read.cash revamp. Why would the community be smaller? It's simple. There's nothing here that a typical social-media-obsessed person can't get anywhere else. So why leave a more established platform to a smaller one? I know there are people that genuinely want to be here, with or without rewards, but the question on everyone's minds remain. Will the rewards be coming back soon? The answer is probably "no." Majority are still hopeful, but hypocritical in the process, acting like there's more to why they're here. Perhaps secretly trying to please a "Big Brother" watching from the shadows. Tips/No Tips?
