I think it was also excitement that BCH can grow unlimited as money. Now the laws are such that no crypto can be used as money in most parts of the world :) And that's the killer use case (used to be?) for BCH.
That is a bit above 35% of the 2021 price.

The rules about crypto has been strictest now and open utility of BCH almost melted. I think the era of 2021 for BCH was golden opportunity for everyone.

I was glad when they added BCH on Coinbase. When I first created my account, they didn't have BCH. I just sent $1 from CB account to my Read.Cash wallet. First, I wanted to check to see if it worked, and also I needed some BCH to tip others.
The current number is still decent. I've seen tokens and coins dropping down 99% of the value since 2021
