I have been covering lately a lot of locations where Bitcoin Cash is gaining in adoption levels and increasing userbase. More than often places where the national currency is failing merchants and consumers need an alternative to fiat.

Argentina has a long history of high inflation and an economic crisis that started at the beginning of the century and it still hasn't been resolved. Moreover, the IMF and international lenders, as well as domestic mismanagement of funds by various governments, have not helped in creating a viable plan for economic improvement.

In 2020 inflation levels dropped below 40% but inflation is once again on the rise since the beginning of 2021, reaching 42.6% for the month of March.

Under these conditions, the Argentine peso is more volatile than cryptocurrencies, and the problem is that like any other fiat it is only losing value, but faster than most of the rest. When compared to the Euro, the Argentine Peso has lost 90% of its value in the last 20 years.

Argentina is in grave danger of entering hyperinflation levels that could result in a new financial crisis for the country.

Within this situation, it is rational for Argentinians to turn in alternative payment networks and try to offload the fiat currency for investments in cryptocurrency.

Argentina is traditionally a country that has very high volumes in Bitcoin purchases, as I remember observing at LocalBitcoins volume charts.

The BTC version of Bitcoin failed everyone and it wasn't going to be the digital currency that could help the population of Argentina.

Lately, we've seen a surge in Bitcoin Cash merchant onboarding activity, and an increase in user base. And we have to thank the team @BitcoinCashArgentina for this.

We are a group of people in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who just six months ago got together with the purpose of seriously pursuing our goal of carrying out a Project based on three Key Pillars: providing precise information on Bitcoin Cash, organizing a qualified Users' Support scheme, and promoting and growing the use of this cryptocurrency in Argentina, a country that is once again being hard hit by inflation.

BitcoinCash Argentina is a team dedicated to increase Bitcoin Cash adoption in the country. It has already done a lot with merchant adoption in a few months and we can find currently 45 businesses accepting Bitcoin Cash in the country.

Bitcoin Cash Argentina is now running a flipstarter campaign aiming to boost adoption in the country.

THE SITUATION IN ARGENTINA, AND THE DIFFICULTIES AND BARRIERS TO BE OVERCOME:

  • Currency exchange controls presently in force, make it impossible to use platforms like GoCrypto.

  • We helped bitcoin.com to provide updated BCH-Argentine Peso exchange rates, based on the respective market value (and not the official rates). This used to be a barrier to local Bitcoin use.

  • Because of currency exchange controls, businesses accept BCH directly but not via POS. They only use the Bitcoin Cash Register App, or the printed QR of their address.

The team is very organized and activities contain Bitcoin Cash audiovisual material and leaflets, seminars, frequent meetups and events, Social Media activities, and lotteries.

Bitcoin Cash Argentina, as other initiatives around the world, it is focused on spreading the message, that Bitcoin should be used as cash, and increasing knowledge about its features and potential.

Impressive Very good work on Argentina Bch flipstarter! Really good work! This is what we do, preach and expose various crypto assets and platforms with proof of work, proof of concept in all transparency as we move forth through blockchain technology allowing zero corruption. If governments and banks won't adapt this then thats alright because we are not here for them, we are the long awaited manifestation of the collective consciousness for transparency whats more to this is that its all in love of the people, we show, we tell, demonstrate and prove it to make the people better than us cos we know the source. I am happy to see the Argentine community on read.cash I am sorry that the people of Argentina live poorly. The country where the Argentine tango was born can not live as it is now. If the country's economy does not work, the unemployment rate is high, enterprises and industry produce nothing, the prices of products, goods and services are growing exponentially, and the income of the population is falling, this shows that the president of the country completely cannot cope with his duties. And it is right that the population is looking for alternative ways to save and earn income in the crypto industry.

Awesome! Write up In pakistan, crypto is illegal and government willfully bans it. But many of the people and investors do not seem as illegal and they invest in Bitcoin cash and bitcoin. Govt. Wants that crypto will illegal now but some people fight against this and they want that crypto to become legal everywhere and I hope so it will legal in our country. We want our freedom and everyone have the rights that they live freely and live according to his will...

It is a trending thing that places where their local currency has failed they are more open to use alternatives, eth and btc can't be used because they are too expensive to use, I guess they either understand they can't afford high fees or someone told them that.

I have also notice a great number of people trying to earn some tips from those countries as well, like in some countries where minimum wage is $20 or less a day, those citizens are trying to become writers at noise, read, publish0x and many other platforms.

If you live in the US or any other rich country whatever income you get form those website is actually a tip because you can't live off of it, but I think that if the strong fiat currencies inflate to hyperinflation the rich people too will be here trying to type to earn. I just hope things get better for everyone in the future and that governments stop printing money at some point.

Even in places like the USA of the EU, inflation is looming. The money supply has quadrupled in just one year after the pandemic started and the inflation stats are usually way lower than the actual. High inflation is not helping progress but creates poverty and difficulties.

Same is happening in my country.Pakistan inflation rate is increasing every month.BUt here govt is stubborn to ban Crypto.Actually people are investor in Bitcoin and many one are in BCH.When it become legit in Pakistan we are hopeful we get rid of IMF.I say IMF economic stopper.Like Argentina hope so Pakistan will procure the right of Freedom of money soon.

I think that we are at the very early stages of something really exciting. It was like that with Bitcoin until 2014-2015. In a couple of years, adoption will be explosive.

I can see it already people using BCH like if it was ETH but much cheaper, I can see BCH reaching fiat ATH, and the rich boys at BTC freaking out and producing disinformation videos on YT, because once fiat ATH is reach btc pairs ATH is next. And price increases plus people preaching BCH people will finally understand. Unfortunately it is a lot herder to be right when the price says the contrary but price will do what we can't with words. Not to mention people like Elan Musk, Mike, Susan, and the guy from Micro Strategies, they will be the first to dump BTC once they see that BCH is going up, they can't afford to lose the money they already have. In other words the rich have no choice but to be followers here, otherwise they become poor themselves if they keep holding too much. I guess when overboard and started typing a different topic than the article itself.
