There's No Splinterlands Secret - We Must Take Sides

0 65

Greetings Splinterlands Summoners! The classic weekly battle challenge retired to make way for the Battle Mage Secrets series, making it more entertaining. This new set-up adds a focus on dynamic strategies, as players will be able to choose from a greater selection of more diverse units to bring into battle.

Let's enjoy the Taking Sides ruleset, where no neutral monsters can be used. Both teams will have to rely on the specific splinter cards, and miss on special combos or tactics.

The aftermath of the demonic invasion are clear in Praetoria, as the once fertile lands are now oozing with corruption. The rebellion is coming, as the survivors are gathering their forces! What doesn't kill you ... makes you stronger...

There will be collateral damage, like fire and regret! The survivors will fight for freedom, but for some this freedom will means meeting the Grim Reaper! Death awaits after every corner, as new conflicts are taking over the Splinterlands. This world can't be healed... but can be purged!

The Rebellion set is scheduled to be released on the 5th of December, and the pre-sale is currently live! Each pack contain five randomly cards from the Rebellion set, with at least one guaranteed rare card. The Legendary and Alchemy potions can be used to increase the chances of receiving Legendary or Gold Foil cards at the same rates as previous sets as well. Nothing changed here, as the unwrapping didn't need any upgrades!

Are you ready for Pre-Sale Alpha? Those purchasing Rebellion packs during the presale will also be eligible to receive not one, but two new limited edition promo cards! Buy 10 packs during pre-sale and receive one Grimbardun Smith Neutral Rare card! On top of that, every single Rebellion booster pack purchased during the presale will have a 1% chance of receiving a Mantaroth Neutral Legendary card!

The Rebellion set contains 96 new cards, including two limited-edition promo cards available only during the Rebellion presale. Other nine Legendary airdrop cards which will be distributed via a completely re-imagined system, as the promo cards and legendary airdrops will not available in packs!

Good or bad, yin and yang... we must take sides in this conflict! Those that will try to stay neutral will end up as collateral damage!

History is written by the winners but taking part in the conflict gives you a 50% 50% chance to be along the victors! Even if you lose.. you've done your best!

The world will burn when Tarsa will fight another version of her, and the land will suffer. Only 16 mana to use for this battle, and two battle-rules that made it worsts!

Up Close & Personal forced the battle mages to use only melee monsters, and Taking Sides removed all the neutral cards.

Tarsa: +1 Melee & +1 Health

Living Lava: Melee with Shield

Tenyii Striker: Melee with Sneak

Scorch Fiend: Melee Decoy

The alternated version of Tarsa had golden monsters, with the Antoid Platoon and Tenyii Striker shining their armor in front of death! My decoy has fallen after the first attack!

The Antoid Platoon wasn't stronger than the Living Lava, but the monsters that were hiding behind it were dealing more damage!

The Serpentine Spy made the difference, and was that extra unit that changed the outcome of the game. We took sides and we lost! See the full battle here!

Taking sides with the rebellion? Poison the wells, burn the trees, and make the land inhabitable for the invaders! Get armored up, gear up with forks and chains and get ready to fight!

Armored Up gives two extra armor to all monster, but the Noxious Fumes will burn trough it! The poison will infect the land, the creatures, the heroes and the villains.

Tarsa: +1 Health & +1 Melee

Scorch Fiend: Melee Decoy

Ant Miners: Melee with Scavenger

Venari Marksrat: Ranged with Martyr

Efreet Elder: Caster with Last Stand

My tactic was simple... survive more than my enemies! The Venari Marksrat will die for the rebellion and the Efreet Elder will boost up when will remain the last of us!

The Ant Miners will take advantage of the carnage and gain some health, delaying the Last Stand dramatic ending. However, I had to fight another team with boosted health and melee damage....

The Forgotten One has immunity, starting with an early advantage! The first round of noxious fumes made one victim from each side, and made it clear that only the strongest will survive!

The Ant Miners armor did well to stop a five damage attack, and they took a swing on the Forgotten One. Unfortunately, the colossal beast had retaliate and took down the ants with his counter-attack!

Another wave of noxious fumes and the remaining archers where down. The Venari Marksrat martyr gave +1 extra stats to the Efreet Elder, and then he boosted again his stats with 50% ... Last Stand on!
