Splinterlands Battle Mage Secret - Target Practice With Captain Katie

4 352

Greetings Splinterlands Summoners! The classic weekly battle challenge retired to make way for the Battle Mage Secrets series, making it more entertaining. This new set-up adds a focus on dynamic strategies, as players will be able to choose from a greater selection of more diverse units to bring into battle.

Let's enjoy the Target Practice ruleset, which will give the Snipe ability to all ranged and magic monsters! The script will be similar to "Enemy at the gates", and all the units will become snipers like Vasily!

Target Practice will make all ranged and casters into sharpshooters like Legolas, and there's only one thing that can make it better! If your answer was True Aim... then you won a cookie!

The Snipe ability will make the units target the first enemy with Ranged, Magic or no attack. The True Aim will give those attacks a 100% hit ratio, being impossible to stop or parry.

This is a story about fast arrows, deadly spells and how my team went against all odds when fighting a superior team! Was true aim enough to win the battle? Read, watch and see the outcome of the battle!

Franz Ruffmane: +1 Armor & +1 Gladiator

Legionnaire Alvar: Tank with Void Armor

Djinn Renova: Caster with Strengthen

Adelade Brightwing: Caster with Repair

Captain Katie: Caster with Snipe and Bloodlust

Prismologist: Ranged with Blast

My tactic was based on Legionnaire Alvar's Void Magic, and how he will take on the magical damage. Adelade Brightwing will repair his armor, while Captain Katie will try to Snipe as many enemies as possible.

The gods of random were cruel with me, pairing me against a team that had Uriel The Purifier as a tank and Runemancer Atuat as overpowered caster that will reduce the damage delivered by my Prismologist.

Uriel The Purifier is as badass as it can be, with Flying and Heal backing his insane stats. The only disadvantage is the Recharge ability, that makes him hit every other round.

Even with his ranged attack reduced, the Prismologist done a tactical hit and blasted damage on three enemies. Runemancer Atuat seen his demise after a powerful spell launched by a severely injured Djinn Renova, just few moves before her own demise! A glorious battle and after-life in Vallhalla!

The Prismologist was back to full fire-power and sent Adelade Brightwing, the evil one, to her grave! The fight was far from over, and losing the health bonus from Renova could have been a massive issue!

It looked like the Prismologist had a bullseye on her back, as the enemies targeted my unit until she was totally obliviated.

Just in time! Captain Katie first kill and Bloodlust came late this time, but better late than never. She launched a spell strong enough to take down the Divine Healer, and no more double heals for Uriel The Purifier.

It was no healing support for Uriel after Katie one-shotted the Venari Crystalsmith, and the Bloodlust pumped her even more.

The Silverhand Assassin kept attacking Katie, and she wouldn't be alive without the two doses of Bloodlust. Uriel was doing his best against Legionnaire Alvar, but his task was made difficult by the constant armor repairs.

Katie channeled her magic and shouted loudly ... PURIFY THIS URIEL! ... as the bolt of arcane pierced through Uriel's chest! If you asked me at the start of the battle, I would probably predicted I would lose!

This escalated quickly and soon the Assassin got... assassinated. Captain Katie pulled the trigger and settled the score! See the full battle here!

This new Battle Mage Secrets series sounds absolutely epic! I love how it adds more diversity and dynamic strategies to the game. The Target Practice ruleset with the Snipe ability for ranged and magic monsters sounds super exciting! It's like having a team of skilled snipers like Vasily or Legolas. True Aim and the 100% hit ratio make it even more intense! I'm really curious to know how your team fared against the superior team. Can't wait to read, watch, and see the outcome of the battle! Good luck! 🍀🎮
