Roger, Roger Keith Ver by his full name, was born on the 27th of January 1979, in San Jose, California. He was an early Bitcoin investor, and the creator of many bitcoin related business and start-ups. He was called the "Bitcoin Jesus" due to his active work on promoting Bitcoin. His interest shifted from Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash! In 2018 he was ranked 36th in the Fortune's The Ledger 40 under 40 for the success obtained in the finance and technology field. He always promoted financial freedom and his goal is to make cryptocurrencies a competitor for major fiat currencies. Fortune Magazine referred to Roger Ver as the co-creator of Bitcoin Cash (BCH). In served 10 months in prison for selling explosives than in 2005 moved in Japan. Roger pleaded guilty to selling explosives without a license, illegal storing of explosives and mailing explosives.

He renounced his US citizenship in 2014, after obtaining a Saint Kitts & Nevis passport. As a fun fact, the US Embassy in Barbados denied his visa to re-enter the United States, as they considered that he will have no motivation to leave the country at the end of the visit, becoming an illegal immigrant. The visa was approved later that year in Tokyo. In 2019 his visa for Australia was denied. Roger Ver started his Bitcoin investments in 2011, about 4 years before I even heard about it. He invested over a million dollars into new bitcoin related businesses such as Ripple, Bitpay, Kraken and Blockchain Info. He revolutionized the financial system when in 2011, Memorydealers accepted bitcoin as payment. His venture website was selling discounted computer parts and will remain in history as the 1st mainstream business to accept BTC as a payment method

Roger Ver served as CEO of Bitcoin.Com until 1 August 2019, when he shifted to the Executive Chairman position. I first heard about Roger Ver in a CNBC interview article. I spent some time tracking it down but I managed to find it! In this interview, he was presented as one of the new breed of digital currency multimillionaires, those investors that achieved financial independence with Bitcoin's help. His first bitcoins were bought at around $1 and when the price reached $1000, his virtual wealth skyrocketed. Even so, Roger's association with Bitcoin extended far beyond just owning it, as he helped countless businesses. Back in 2013 he was promoting Bitcoin as an incredibly cheap coin, that will gain global popularity and will worth ten thousands of dollars.
