Copa America Final - Argentina v Brazil The 2021 edition of Copa America is ready to unwrap the final act. I predicted this final since day one, and any other outcome would have been a huge surprise! Argentina is facing Brazil in South America's classic derby, on Sunday 11th of July at Maracana from Rio de Janerio. Uruguay has 15 Copa America trophies being the most successful country in South America. The finalists of this edition are 2nd and 3rd in the top. Argentina won Copa America 14 times while Brazil 9 times. On Sunday Argentina will fight to equal Uruguay's record and Brazil wants double digits!

**The road to the final** The group stages finished with both Argentina and Brazil winning their groups. Was clear since then that the two arch-rivals can only meet in the final.

**Quarterfinals** Argentina v Ecuador 3-0 Brazil v Chile 1-0 **Semifinals** Argentina v Colombia 2-1 after penalties Lautaro Martinez goal gave Argentina the lead but Diaz equalizer sent the game to penalties, where Messi & Co did better than the Colombians. Brazil v Peru 1-0 Paqueta scored from Neymar's pass in a game that was tougher for Brazil then they expected.

**Top Scorers** Messi has four goals while Lautaro Martinez has one less. The due will be going for glory on Sunday. Neymar and Paqueta are the two Brazilians with two goals and will be hard for them to equal Messi in the leaderboard. Can Carrillo, Lapadula or Diaz score twice in the 3rd place final and match Messi?
