Dragons Splinterlands Battle Challenge - The Dragons and the End of Time

0 70

Feels like another glorious week as the theme for the Splinterlands Battle Challenge is ... DRAAAGOOONS! Done it in the past ... and I will boss it again! I will fight with my dragons until the End of Time!

We are heading into the Caverns of Times, the home of bronze dragonflight. We will remember some past battles, useful lessons for fighting the Chaos Legion. Dragons are guardians and they will guard the realm against invaders. I initially had three dragons like Daenerys, the Drake of Arnak, the Gloridax Soldier and the Serpentine Mystic. With the new reward cards being added and I added the Naga Brute, Naga Assassin, Twilight Basilisk and Djinn Chwala.

Djinn Chwala is a powerful monster, with 9 Health Points, 5 Armor, 2 melee damage and 2 speed. The Roots ability makes it a top tank. It gains Enrage at level 4 and True Strikes at level 6.

Opening the Dark Portal!  I played my first dragon challenge back in October 2020. It was then when the Dark Portal was open and savages invaded our peaceful world. The Drake or Arnak, was and currently is my only Dragon summoner.

I team it up with the water creatures from the swamps of Black Morass. The Tortisian Fighter was the main tank, backed up by the Naga Windmaster, the Tower Griffin and the Serpentine Mystic. The Feasting Seaweed and the Ooze where used as additional support for the dragon! I won the fight against the mindless beasts but I was concerned that this was just a scouting patrol. See the battle HERE!

The Culling of ... Water Splinter! Strange forces corrupted the Water Splinter and the Drake of Arnak was required again to save the day. He boosted all the friendly monsters with 1 armor and the Gloridax Soldier was the dragonflight champion. Dragon power multiplied, as the Twilight Basilisk and Serpentine Mystic created carnage on the battlefield.

Never come in biting distance with an angry Basilisk, as you may suddenly become his lunch. See the full battle here!

Hour of Twilight! The time when the evil agents of chaos invaded the world, the time when Shadow Snitches came lurking around and gathering intel about our strengths and weaknesses. The Chaos Legion invasion didn't changed much the Dragon Splinter, even if new game mechanics and strategies were born.

The Dragon Soul! As new cards added some extra spice as new waves of horrifying monsters creeped into the world but the Dragon Soul stayed pure. The Drake of Arnak was ready to counter attack and the Gloridax Soldier will follow his leader until the End Time!

Was time to rumble ... with 18 mana cap battle and no special rules. The opponent chose the Life Splinter but 4 Chaos Legion corrupted monsters.

Drake of Arnak: Summoner with +1 Armor

Gloridax Soldier: Main tank with Flying & Shield

Djin Oshannus: Caster with Void

Creeping Ooze: -1 Speed for all enemy monsters

Djinn Oshannu and the Gloridax Soldier were my wild cards against the evil! Both will disrupt the enemy's tactic due to the Flying, Shield and Void abilities. The Gloridax Soldier must hold the ground while the Djinn nukes the opponents.

The Gloridax tank holds well, dodging and blocking attacks. Time to ignore the armor and do some magical damage. Two down... for to go!

All has become a home-run, as the Djinn is ready to grant me three wishes. Oshannu was untouchable by the caster due to the Void shield, and slowly secured the victory. The Gloridax Soldier was the star of the battle, with countless dodged and blocked attacks. See the full battle here!

End Time! In the many versions of possible futures... it is one where we lost! Chaos set upon the world and the life was consumed. Only nightmares and monstrous things are roaming the lands. The world's mightiest heroes are gathering for the final battle. Djinn Chwala and Djinn Oshannus answered to the Drake's call and are leading the attacks in the 99 mana cap battle!

Summoner: Drake of Arnak:+1 Armor to friendly monsters

Djinn Chwala: Main Tank with Roots

Flying Squid: Off-Tank with Reach

Djinn Oshannus: Caster with Void

Deeplurker: Melee with Opportunity

Sand Worm: Melee with Sneak

Axemaster: Ranged with Double Strike

Water against water, abyssal creatures versus abyssal creatures ... this battle will be legendary! The Disintegrator was the "first blood" in the fight, being crushed by the Djinn roots! I gained a small lead just before the end of round one!

Guardian down, Mantoid down ... still with the full team after one more round. Diemonshark followed but Chwala was defeated as well, but not before dealing some Roots damage!

With the opponent's Deeplurker down, it was only Djinn Oshannu to be defeated. The task was easy as my team had five monsters up and ready for the challenge. The huge blow dealt by the Sand Worm was GAME OVER! See the full battle here!
