Heartbreak
Once a week, he would stop at the bar for a few drinks. Not that he needed it; his father died an alcoholic and he didn't want to go down the same path. Not that he could afford it; with the bills piling up and the eviction notice on his door, life would be a lot better if he stayed away from that place. But he had to be here. To see the place where he first met her. To curse the day he met her, and the events that led up to that day. He met Tessy at the bar a year ago. He was a fresh college graduate, working at a tech corp as an app developer. She was the bar's greatest attraction - the local bargirl who spent the nights singing country and giving the old geezers the show of their lives. A match made in heaven. Over the next few weeks, they got to know each other - she knew about the ex he'd rather forget, the big dreams he had, and the fact he was a moaner in bed. He knew she was full of exciting secrets, she had a tattoo of some anime character just above her left butt cheek, and she was possessive. Sometimes they argued, but never did she apologize, even when she was wrong. She'd rather wait for him to come to the bar and give everyone a good show. Then he'd realize the jewel she was and how he didn't deserve her. After six months of dating, she brought up the topic of marriage. He was very cautious about the topic - he'd seen marriages that didn't end well. Like his mom's. But she was very keen and managed to convince him. "After all, no one who marries is ever ready for marriage," she said. "We'll learn to live as one." Well, *he learned.* Because she never showed up at the wedding. And for eternity, he was cursed to sit at the very table where he saw first met her, looking at the very stage where she first saw him.

Wow! Very well written. . I wonder what happened to that girl.. Why she didn't show up on their wedding day.. Hmm I hope there's a continuation for this story.. Its very interesting. π
I really wish so, but I guess it should be left a mystery π
Haha! π I hate hanging endings.. But sometimes I just make my own ending so I will not get stressed of thinking what could have happpened next
That was rather sad... i wonder why he got stood up
Yeah. I guess I just left it to be part of the mystery
My bet is on an unexpected death so that it can be justified at least :""
That'd make the story a lot less sad
Well for me that is. Plus it's easier to accept
Very sadππ
