Don't Give Up!!!

Many people are quick and all-too-willing to talk about how hard life is, and how things aren't working out for them. Which is understandable, since that's how life always is. Like I say, it's an eternal battle in life, and whether we like it or not, the rules that pertain to the animal kingdom also pertain here - the strong live/win and the weak die/lose out. Strength and Weakness are judged under the terms of Financial, Physical, Spiritual, and Intellectual power. Life is all about survival of the fitted, and with nearly everyone protecting his/her interests, nearly no one is concerned about how their actions affect you as long as their goals are achieved. But I'm not here to talk about all that. It can hardly be called 'motivating' which is what I intended this write-up to be. Many people blame a lot of factors for their lack of success in their endeavors. Some include but are not limited to, Near Success Syndrome, also known as a failure at the edge of a breakthrough. Quite a good number of people can relate to this, and I must admit that it **is** a real thing - though not all scientific, it borders more on 'luck' and fate. Some people just lose, right when they are about winning. At the last moment, something suddenly happens and the victory is gone. Such a situation can be quite depressing, especially since hopes have been high and plans have been made. Many people don't get over such losses, others become less enthusiastic to even try again. But then again, I'm not talking about these people. I'm talking about another certain class of people who disguise by trying to hide under this canopy. I'm talking about... THE PEOPLE THAT GIVE UP Giving up isn't an option. In any sense. You can say you tactically withdrew, or you had deep thought and decided your efforts were being channeled in the wrong direction. But not that you gave up. That sounds bad. That sometimes shows 'laziness' - you saw a possible potential benefit in your actions, but you were too lazy to actually apply the elbow grease and get to the 'tiring', 'arduous' work that would eventually lead to the success. Talking about Giving Up makes you look like a person lacking dedication and focus. It makes you a spoke in the wheel of progress if you are making a group effort towards a goal. Sometimes, people give up earlier than they should; at the time when they should apply the final burst of energy as they have reached the last lap. At a time when their perseverance is needed most and will guarantee them the victory. They just give up because they believe that as things have not yet worked, they are experiencing Near Success Syndrome. As a kid, I made it a must to not know 'when to give up'. That time didn't exist for me, that point in life didn't exist for me. I could take a break out of frustration, but as far as I saw something potentially beneficial, I would continue nonetheless. That's one thing that kept me going here on Read.Cash despite all the crazy times. And I can comfortably say that it has always paid off. Once you've set your mind to do something, go for it without having any plans of 'giving up' or 'falling back', especially when it means a lot to you. Most people who give up are those who become dropouts or commit suicide, etc. They know the value of life, and deep down in their minds, obscured by the excess baggage, negative thoughts and influences, and the sadness, they know that there's more to life. That there's a light at the end of the tunnel. But that's the issue: they don't want to endure walking through the dark tunnel. They can wrap their heads around the fact that life isn't a bed of roses, and they know that they have to endure some before they can enjoy some. But they believe: 'why go through all this when I can just give up? Why not do this the 'easier' way?' Reality check: Nothing good comes easy. If it comes easy, then check it really well, because it may not be good. As we say in Africa, there are no free meals, even in Freetown (Capital of Sierra Leone). We all must be ready to persevere and continue to work hard, that is, if we w=do want to achieve. If you will remember just one thing from this long epistle, please remember this: GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION!!!
