Changes

Am I the only one that was afraid of leaving my comfort zone? That space where everything is just cool and my brain works perfectly? In other words, my room, where I am free of all external distractions and influences? No. I refuse to believe that I was the only one in that category. I couldn't have been the only person afraid of changes, of having to go out and put these muscles to the test. Of having to leave my comfort zone and lay my brain and body on the line to achieving. We all feel anxious when it's time to make big changes. It was hard enough getting everything ready to be able to occupy this comfort zone, and now we have to leave it and journey out - into uncertainty. A place where we don't know what's going to happen next. Where there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. At one time, I decided not to leave my comfort zone, but continue to upgrade it. By continuing to add the most essential 'excesses' and 'stresses' off life, I could continue to remain in my comfort zone and still make progress in whatever I was doing. Give me a red nose, makeup, and call me a clown. Even though I'm an advocate of not over-stressing oneself, I'm also fully aware of the fact that nothing good ever comes easy. If it comes easy, then it's either temporary or not good enough. Only effort can bring long-term results. If you're one person that doesn't fancy the idea of leaving their comfort zone, then I understand your plight. You're not lazy, you just don't like stress", I heard someone say. But you mustn't be afraid to get your hands dirty every once in a while. So go ahead to the hardware store and purchase some elbow grease. It'll get worse before it gets better!
