I don't want to sound like a broken record anytime I post about Nigeria but it is hard not to talk about it when you are seeing the obvious. This is wickedness with a total disregard for consequences on the part of our politicians and maybe this would give everyone an insight into their level of thinking. Anyone would be living in a cocoon would of self-delusion if they think these lots have anything to better the citizens of Nigeria.
You will read some news and you cannot help but wonder if there is any hope at all for this country. I wonder what these politicians' family members would be thinking or if they are ever ashamed of their spouse with how rotten they have gotten. How do they even sleep at night?
These politicians speak and you begin to wonder if they actually think deep. Imagine, a country like Nigeria, that is struggling with electricity and our so-called leaders came out to say the excess electricity we have (Megawatts) is what they want to sell to 4 other West African countries. Why are we unlucky with these 'leaders'? We have oil and yet we cannot even refine it. We spend so much to refine it out there and still bring it back with a huge amount. How can the economy ever survive? We have what it takes to have constant electricity and still, we suffer from darkness yet they said the 'excess' that we have, they want to sell it.
I had to read it more than twice to be sure I understood what he said. Where is the excess? In a land where electricity is scheduled for only the top areas? I can't help but think these people are 'cursed' with a chronic desire to irritate every citizen. We don't have enough and you want to sell to other countries? How do you sell what you don't have for crying out loud?
This only confirmed what I have known even while growing up and that is, we could all enjoy steady electricity but deliberately, they are not making us have it which makes it easier to monetize it. They have the means also, this makes it easier for them for the sake of their colleagues who are into generator sales. The more people live in darkness, the stronger the desire would be to see a generator set as a necessity even from the money that is not enough for most people. This is painful.
They have billions that can cure their loved ones' heart of stone and yet they thrive on the country being impoverished while they feed fat on it. They rule with a poverty mentality too because they want to entice people with money to do their bidding during elections. This is the part where I wish I can have superpowers. They make it easy for you to get tired of the country.
Just a few days ago too, they said they are considering what strategy they can put in place to avoid their youths leaving the country. Hahaha. You are not engaging your youths, thereby killing their creativity and yet you don't want them to leave to become better as individuals? This is why you see a lot of people leave the country into a system that works and they do better. Opportunity met their preparedness and success came and that is when they would start claiming them as 'Nigerian Born'. What tools did they give before to him or her before they left? Nothing.
It's painful to be living in a system that is designed to frustrate your efforts. Crypto ban, Twitter ban, bad roads, poor electricity, terrible basic amenities and so on. It is obvious that they are all the same. We keep recycling them. They come under a new party but still with the inner circus. I am pained.
Drops pen.
Electricity problems hits other particular country. Maybe leaders is the main problem hihi
