Inadequate
Inadequate, that’s the word that keeps ringing in my head everyday day for as long as I can remember. How did I get here? Am I the only one that feels this way on this journey of life that seem to have no answers. Who placed me on this part? What or who convinced them that I would be able to weather the storm and overcome or who is to say that I would overcome? What if I’m inadequate to be among the over-comers, what if I’m just here as a statistic a stepping stone for others to achieve their goals and dreams in this life. Am I so inadequate that I can’t seem to find my niche? I can’t shake it off, the feeling in inadequacy, the smell of mediocrity, the struggle and the hardships despite my hard work yet no smart earning. Like a starving kid who hungers and tastes for food beyond their reach, I hunger and taste for success beyond my dreams. We pray and we hope because our society doesn’t give us enough opportunities to create and express, they say to us you are inadequate you lack the necessary skill set to be great. “**Inadequacy**”. This is not just a feeling, It is the story of millions on Nigerian youths.
