Joseph Lubin (Co-founder of ETH) has said in a statement that we should stay tuned for a METAMASK token ($MASK). He was having a discussion with a journalist that was telling him he doesn't want tokens in their balance spreadsheet (he owns 10% stake of parent metamask company CONSENSYS. He replied to this reporter that he had a ton of tokens in the balance sheets of Consensys and that the company was solely run by their employees, including him.
