How to make yourself easy to like by others and warmly welcomed

Everyone's social skills are different. Some are easy to break the ice, some are awkward every time they are in a new place. When meeting new people, there are those who get along right away, but there are also those who take longer to adjust.

Regardless of our social abilities, we basically want our existence to be well received by others. We want our existence to be warmly welcomed and liked by many people. Here are five simple strategies, as reported by the Psychology Today page, so that we can be more easily liked by others. Here are some tips that we can do.

1. Become a Better Listener

Become a good listener, how? You can start by giving your full attention to the person who is talking or talking to you. Respond in moderation without always rushing to interrupt the conversation or telling too much about yourself.

2. Be Supportive

If someone tells you about their success or new achievements, you can congratulate them. If someone shares their experience, you can share their feelings of happiness or enthusiasm. This doesn't mean that you have to be overbearing or outrageous, but try to show the same interest or enthusiasm as the person you're talking to.

3. Find Common ground

We can easily connect or relate to people who have similar interests or opinions. When you meet new people, you can try ways to share interests, hobbies, tastes in music, favorite foods, or movies and others. 4. Don't Try Too Hard

To be liked by many people does not have to try so hard that it will seem artificial or unnatural. Be yourself so that other people like the real you. Trying to show yourself to other people will eventually make people realize that you really deserve to be liked.

Too much behavior or excessive behavior will make other people uncomfortable, in fact they will hate you. After getting good influence from others, then it's your turn to be a good influence to others.

6. Don't Close Yourself

Be open to something or someone good. Never shut yourself off from hanging out with new people because you never know what will happen next. Maybe these new friends can invite us to explore nature that we have never been to before.

Then never hesitate or be afraid to try something new. For example, climbing a mountain. Maybe this is the first experience, try to climb the mountain. From that first experience, maybe we will get many valuable and unforgettable things. But you have to remember when trying something new make sure it's not something negative like drugs.
