The Story of The Prince with Long Nose

THE PRINCE WITH LONG NOSE Story By: Severino Reyes Translation and Rendition by: Nino Jade . CHARACTERS: . Narrator Princess (Mother of the Prince with long nose) Enchanter Prince (Father of the Prince with long nose) Servant Minister Prince Hyacinth ( with long nose) Students, teachers and townsfolk Old woman (Fairy) Princess of Bezfort King of Bezfort . STORY LINE . . [Background: Edvard Grieg: "Peer Gynt - Morning Mood"] . Narrator:  The princess from the Kingdom of Norad Where towns bloom and streets alike Merry and happy, no frown but glory Like heaven’s kingdom, heaven is not boring . A day, the morning east sun arose Princess was having fun approach She went far, and far walked by She’s now in the woods, along with wolves that cry . Princess: A great and lovely heavens I feel Nature’s wild, free, it feels so real Following, time, time, time and me I explore these woods and I see . [music suddenly stops] [Mozart Don Giovanni, Overture] . Narrator: A bristle in the woods was heard She moved, looked and scared Thinking and worrying what this thing might Is it scary, bloody or can it bite? . Enchanter: Hello my princess, I reveal myself You look surprised for what you saw I follow you each day and every time I admire your beauty and you will be mine . Princess: No, I told you too soon and too early I’m sorry, but you must not feel lonely You can find your own love as you glide in life I know you can find your only wife . Enchanter: No, no, no! I terribly disagree For I am the Enchanter, can’t you see? I know, the great effort, you’ll be mine soon I’ll be a cat will follow you as the moon. . [Franz Liszt – Totentanz] . Narrator: The enchanter is madly in love Does everything to get the wove The princess is now cursed and under his spell A giant cat is following her and felt . The cat follows wherever she goes He is insane and it was a foe The only way for she to be free To step the cat’s tail and he will flee . When the curse is broken, liberty follows The kingdom, will celebrate and bow News scattered far away to the lands The hope of the curse to break, who can? [Music Stops] . Servant: News, my majesty! Terrible news today! The princess was cursed, they were insane A cat is following her every time Step the cat’s tail, so she won’t be a mime . Prince:  I see, the situation is terrible I will get the princess out of trouble By stepping the cat’s tail, she shall be free From curse, danger, whatever it will be . Servant, don’t inform that I arrived today The enchanter will know and he will run away I plan to there this day and tonight Cat’s tail will be crushed to declare my might. . [Beauty and the beast- Gaston] . Prince: Gosh it disturbs me to free thee, to fourth Looking so down in the dumps Every day you followed by cat but one Even when taking your lumps There's the enchanter’s foolish’d admired to you You will now be free and I’ll try I am very awed and inspired by you And it's not very hard to see why . No one's hurting the keen No one's seeing this seem No one's will hurt the princess is none For there's a woman to be freed Perfect, a cat’s tail is on I shall step for you to be free And the princess will be free from the enchanter now on . Who plays this dark game on? Who breaks the curse, and I’m on Who is willing to fight for you than of my own? . As a prince, yes I’m intimidating . My, what a cat, I’ll step on! . I needed to go there I’ll stomp my foot . We’ll here you are and I’ll step on you!!! [Cat screeching] . [Toccata and Fugue in D Minor] [The enchanter only speaks when the music is on cut] . Enchanter: Too risky, you’re heroic but risky You made her free, you shall not be weary I will curse you and your first born son And he’ll be born with a nose too large that bears no one . Your son will not be a king if he rejected his flaw A flaw in form of a big nose will not be gone For the kingdom only accepts the flawless king I’ll curse your son, so he will never be a king!! . [Music continues as Enchanter disappears] [music stops] . Narrator:  And then, the prince broke the princess’ curse The enchanter was turned smoke and dispersed There, he was gone but the curse was casted Prince was worried, but nevertheless celebrated . For the princess is free from tyranny For they achieved partly liberty But the prince forgets the curse that tomb For his first born son from princess’ womb . Years have passed, prince and princess married Time runs fast, the king set sail and ferried The now queen is pregnant but king is away He was sailing on the seas and doesn’t stay . Months are gone, the queen is laboring Servants are alerted, she was conceiving A child, the king’s child is in now born But the queen’s death, joyness turned to mourn . Servant: Oh no! Another bad news has strucked First the queen, second the king out of luck The king had died as his ship sank Poor child, he has no parents to thank . Minister: I noticed his nose, so huge and large In his head, in front like a big guard Not normal for a nose to grow like this I hope the prince will not be mocked, I wish . Servant: He will not be mocked for he is a royal The king for our future, we should be loyal His parents are lost, now they are gone He must be feel loved my everyone . Narrator: And so, new rules and commands were all set So the flaws of the prince won’t cause regret From servants to advisors, all must know They musn’t mock the prince for what they know . The kingdom are altered all the history Big nosed warrior is always on victory To convince the prince that his flaw is great They will praise him even if it is fake . They even changed the paintings of the might His ancestors and men were painted in him alike Even the handsome wear fake noses in the palace So the little prince will not be embarrassed . As the prince grew and his flaw is admired He grew great, tough, mighty and fiery fire As he was convinced that his appearance is best He sincerely thinks he’s handsome like the rest . Minister: My prince, for you to become a king You have to marry a princess with your liking For your throne, you shall not be alone Your queen will complete your highly throne . Prince Hyacinth: My Minister, I want marry the Princess of Bezfort She is a beautiful princess none before Even she has a small nose, I have a big heart Now, tell the King of Bezfort to do his part . Narrator: The minister was sent to his large path And reached the Bezfort on the skies goth Told the king that the prince wants the princess He was delighted and agreed for the king’s bliss . The minister was used to lie about the prince’s flaw Didn’t tell the king that the prince was flawed The king agreed that the two should be married But a tragedy, the princess was forced to be carried . Minister: My prince, a terrible news has arrived  The princess of Bezfort, freedom deprived Another curse is held her and abducted Inside the crystal palace, she was captivated . Prince: How dare for someone to do this to her My minister, prepare my special soldiers For I the great, the princess will be found Tell my commands and set the grounds . Narrator: The prince now was into a large quest With soldiers and men he requested Went in the dessert, and the prince got lost As the sand storm swept away, they were paused . He was awaken in a fairly different place He walked and walked on fast pace As he was hungry and the hopes are gone He found a house in dessert, only one . Prince Hyacinth: Oh lovely lady, can I have a food to eat? I am so thirsty I need water to drink So glad I found your very lovely home Can I come in, even I am unexpected to come? . Old Woman: Of course my dear, you look hungry and weak Here, you’re welcome, your clothes are unique I just notice that your nose is so large Looks like a very very large barge . Your nose looks quite too huge I am very distracted to look, sorry to refuse Is your nose normally that large to be seen? Oh, let’s get inside, the weather is hot and keen. . Narrator: The prince was irritated and annoyed He thinks the woman is paranoid For she noticed his nose so big But his stomach is hungry till to dig . He was surprised as he entered the house Full of antiques which light can bounce Looks so rich, the prince a backed He can’t believe what he saw is a fact . Prince Hyacinth: Is this your lovely home, lovely woman As springkly as my palace, same can I wonder who’s woman really are you? May you introduce yourself, can you? . Old woman: I was a queen from faraway land Like you I was lost but with my band I built this home with the gold I bought This is a funny story I now thought . We took the wrong turn in the deep forest I told them the story of the modest The prince, princess and the giant cat But your nose is so large off the bat . Narrator: The prince is so, so fully annoyed He can’t take the old woman’s paranoid Stopped eating and hit the tables stand As he tells the woman to stop on command . Prince Hyacinth: Would you stop condemning? So utter rude Did I mention that you talk mainly feud!! My nose is handsome and this is great Thanks for food, I shall leave ‘fore it’s too late . Old Woman: Oh! So you’re leaving for the princess And how are you going to lips caress? Does your nose come into the way? So huge, you can’t even kiss right away . Prince Hyacinth: I am a respectful prince, unlawful lady Have no time to listen your words so uttery For, I the prince will leave this instant So shut your mouth that is out so rampant Oh my! As I walk, she said was right I cannot even see my foot on sight This is just normal for mighty kings and queens Maybe, I think, am I a different queer? . Narrator: Prince came across to the peasant’s market There he saw the truth covered scarlet There they laughed for the prince large nose Prince feels strange for they’ve had small nose . Prince Hyacinth: Everybody’s small nose is dominant Don’t they know that my nose is prominent? I find this kingdom outrageously strange I feel terrible as I am estranged . Narrator: Prince is doubting himself on his mind He realized, that he before was lied Nobody looked bad with a small nose The guided thinking in him arose . He arrived and reached the crystal palace Called out the princess with great ballast The prince called with tough and mightiness But got no reply from the princess highness . He got a rope and climbed up to the tower Dedicated to do to save in his power On the balcony he reached, the rail he grabbed And the foot on the balcony he jabbed . Princess of Bezfort: Lo! My savior, my hero is here Why is your nose so big my dear? Looks so large, I didn’t know you have a flaw But here you are, save me from the claws . Narrator: He was annoyed what the princess has told Nevertheless, he went for the hand and hold For the curse to be broken when her hands were kissed And then he goes to lips to hand, but he missed . Prince Hyacinth: No! With my nose that’s so colossal I can’t even kiss to a proposal I’m sorry my princess, for I have failed My flaw is so large, it can’t be unveiled . I didn’t realized, all my life is a lie Now I know my flaw, I am shy They made me believe that I was different Now, indeed, I am more different . Sorry, for I cannot break your curse For all my flaw is also a hidden curse I have to live with it all my life I must accept my very flawed life . Hey! It’s you, you unlawful woman You appear like a beautiful bouman Your dress looks like a fairy alike How you reach here in skies tonight? . Old woman: I am not the queen, my lovely prince Sent to realize your flaws ever since An enchanter has cursed your appearance I’m here to help until your clearance . It was said, you realize your flaw to be gone Have you looked at it? Now it is gone Oh! What a joy to see the curse breaks No more flaws for you to show and take . Prince Hyacinth: My huge and big nose, now it is normal So glad I am not anymore abnormal I am the prince with no flaws and perfect The people will look me with more respect . Old woman: My prince, you are greatly mistaken Everybody has a flaw to be taken Curse isn’t broken when it shrank But rather self love is where it flank . You must love yourself for what you are Good to accept thy self, to reach stars afar But remember, it must be exact not too much So that you will truly see how much is much . Narrator:  And then, the both curses are broken The two was having freedom to be given All the lessons, that we have learned Flaws are always our concern . Deep in our hearts are insecurities We wish that were treated like celebrity But to be perfect we must notice To become flawless, flaws must noticed . Like the Prince, who’s now marrying the princess Both are happy, because they achieved merriness The kingdom is happy and full of laughter And they lived happily ever after . THE END
