Be yourself

There are many people, many speakers, many quotes that tells us not to expect anything from anyone so you may not get hurt. But the truth is when we go out of our way to help someone, support someone : even if we dont want to expect anything in return we naturally want them to show the same altruism we showed them. We subconsciously desire that someone has our back. But they seldom return the favors. Because we are who we are. If your nature is to be selfless then dont give it up, because its their nature to forget and its yours to be beneficent.
