The most beautiful gifts are those that we receive in abundance, when we need them the most. Whether it's a plane ticket to a loved one who needs us, whether it's a sock of sweets offered where Santa is harder to reach, or whether we're talking about a food basket given to an old man on a cold day alone or whether we are talking about more accessible gifts, such as a warm look, a sincere hug, a firm hand or a few words of encouragement, all of these can change a person's day or even their life. We don't really know the turmoil of those around us, we don't know what demons they are fighting to remove, we don't know the disappointment and pain of someone who feels forgotten by the world. For this reason, we must not allow ourselves to give anything but joy. A small gesture, perhaps insignificant for us, can be a miracle for someone else. Nothing compares to the joy in the eyes of a man who received a piece of our soul as a gift. That joy is reflected softly in our heart, lighting the way to what is planted, from eternity, in our soul: LOVE.
