People always love to spare their time on taking a vacation, going out of town, and relaxing themselves to reduce stress and to leave their regular routine(work or anything that makes them busy) for the mean time. On top of the exciting way they do is going in the beach.
Who else doesn't want to go here ? With it's refreshing and cool air, smooth sand that touches your feet and even the cold splash of water. I bet you're probably imagining it right now.
But did you know that there's some beautiful beach that's dangerous too ? If you don't, then please continue reading this.
So here it goes .
1) Kilaeua Beach, Hawaii
Hawaii is famous and well known for it's beaches here, but this one is not one of them. There are many volcanoes in Hawaii and Mt. Kilaeua is the most active of them. It is located near by the beach, and the beach sands are often covered with volcanic rocks. If you want to visit this beach you should worry because it can errupt or explode any moment.
Since 1983, this volcano became active and often explodes.
2) Playa Zipolite, Mexico
A beach located in the town of San Pedro, Pochutla in the southern part of Mexico. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico but unfortunately it is also dangerous.
The word zipolite means "the beach of the dead".
At first glance you will notice that the beach is calm that's why there were people still obsessed coming here, then eventually the big waves will come out and followed by the strong and dangerous suction of water back into the deep part of the sea or also known as reef current.
It is estimated that more than 50 people die here each year.
3) Fraser Beach, Australia
This beach in Australia has never been visited by people because of it's well-known habitat for sharks and jellyfish. You can't even sit on the sand to sunbathe because this place is also full of crocodiles and deadly spiders. Because of the danger posed by it at sea or on the shore, you will never want to come here.
4) Gansbaai, South Africa
When you arrive in Africa, avoid going to this beach because this one is full of white sharks. This beach is popular with people who are looking for adventure and want to dive using shark cages. This is the only way to get safely under the water, if there is no protection there is a high chance that you will be eaten by sharks.
5) Volusia County, Florida
Many people visits Florida because of it's stunning beaches. But when you go to Florida you should avoid going to the beach especially in Volusia County.
In 2013 lots of shark attacks were recorded on the beach of Volusia County.
There are more sharks here compared to the number of sharks in the South African Region known as the most notorious home of sharks in the world. Either lying on the shore will not be safe too, because this area also has the highest record of lightning strikes in all of North America.
6) Chow Patty Beach, India
It is one of the most popular beaches in the world but it is also one of the dirtiest beaches in the world. Every year thousands of residents celebrates the Hindu Festival Ganesh Chaturthi. It is a tradition in which the statues of their idols are lifted in a procession and taken to the nearby sea to be immersed in water, because the beach was so dirty, many residents are hospitalized after the festival.
7) Bikini Atoll US Marshall Islands
There are many reasons to avoid going to this beach. There are many sea creatures here now that you can see under the water of this island and you can probably say it is a good diving spot. But it is not safe to bathe and swim here. Not only to sharks you should be afraid of, in 1946 - 1958, this was used as a testing ground for nuclear weapons. During this time more than 20 nuclear bombs were detonated and the whole island got contaminated with radiation. One day the government declared that this beach was safe. But people avoid themselves from going here for they don't want to risk their own safety just for this place.
8) North Sentinel Island, Andaman Islands
This place is part of the archipelago of the Andaman Islands which is part of the union territory of India. It is bordered by India and Myanmar. Of all the dangerous beaches in the world, this is probably the most dangerous of all. You shouldn't just worry the sea creatures or the strong currents of water here, nor the pollution, for all you have to worry about here are the people who live on this island. If you want to find a beach to relax, avoid going to the beach of this island. The natives here do not like tourists. They are known to inherit a fiery bow to take down the aircraft passing through their island.
When a ship accidentally set sails on their island they immediately killed the two persons on board.
They will do everything to protect their island. So if you still want to live avoid this island.
9) Northern Territory Beaches, Australia
The water here contains thousands of box jellyfish which are the deadliest creature in the world. They can grow up to eleven inches wide, and they can also have up to 60 tentacles that can grow up to 6 feet. They are transparent that's why they cannot be seen easily. With their poisonous sting, there are people who have not reached the shores alive. It's poison can kill you in just five minutes.
In 1983, a record of 70 people died due to box jellyfish here.
10) Skeleton Coast, Namibia
Who else wants to go to beach which they call Skeleton Coast? Because of the seal bones and sharks scattered here as well as the broken and abandoned ships anchored on the shore, it has established it's name given by a book author John H. Marsh.
They also called it as "the gates of hell". Rocky and cloudy seas are the reason why according to study, about 1000 ships have been stranded and have not been able to leave due to the strength of the strong current that prevents the ships from moving.
In March 2018, the latest case was recorded when Namibia authorities rescued a Japanese Fishing Vessel. It was stuck in the rocky part of the sea.
The only alternative way out in this area is a wide and hot dessert. It is said that lots of sailors died here due to lack of drinking water.
