I never wished to be the favorite child, all I wanted was a fair treatment. During my teenage years I instilled in me that "righteousness" should be the basis in everything that I say and do, most especially that I have a disciplinarian of a father. My actions and words should always be in accordance with what he told me because any wrongdoings will not pass without endless rebuke. Even my fault in the last few months will also be reminded to me when I make mistakes in the present time. The unlimited reprimanding was indeed stressful. I always cry myself to sleep everytime it happens. My pillows and blanket served as my companions during those tearful nights.

I hope that there's a silver lining to this experience but being treated like that will either make or break someone. I hate favoritism. Makes childrem suffer from inferiority complex. Makes adults lose their self confidence. All because they thought they we're not good enough not to be the favorite.
The experience did break me, ate. I compared myself to everyone. I belittle my young self. But those experiences made me the person that I am today. :))
I am glad that you're okay now. Just stay positive and keep the confidence.
Oh, favoritism. You're right, parents should treat their children fairly. Not because the other one is smarter that they favor him/her the most. In my case, we are seven in the family. But honestly, I saw that our parents' love has no sense of favoritism. That's what I liked about them. I hope you're doing fine. Good morning sis. 😊
