Resilience. I only became fully aware of this word's meaning during our seminar/training on Disaster and Risk Management conducted by a Non-government organization sometime in 2016 - 2017. This was after Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) brought destruction to the people of Eastern Visayas. The weekly seminars/trainings were held in different places but still within the municipality and was participated by few representatives from each chosen barangay. I have to give the credits to the trainers for being able to explain to all of us what this word truly means. ❤ We, Leyteños and Samarnons, are said to be 'resilient' people after what had happened way back November 2013.
