Got the opportunity to take pictures of this Yolanda Monument while I was riding on a motorcycle going home from work. All thanks to a friend for the hitchhike. That's another savings from transportation expense for this week. 😂 I told my friend to stop for a minute as I want to take photos of it which he willingly obliged. Been wanting to do it since last week (before the anniversary) during day time but I haven't had the chance to because I am always seated on the opposite side of the PUV. ---- This monument was once a mass grave where it is said to have more than 200 Supertyphoon Yolanda victims buried. It was then, converted into a beautiful resting place of those who died during Yolanda's wrath.

It's sad to remember the typhoon Yolanda especially for those people in tacloban. 💔 Those people who lost their family and home.😢
It really is. It will never be forgotten.
Why it is called the Yolanda Monument? Saving some amount by your frien's generosity.
