Cyclops 👁️ They’re giants, but with only one eye — which makes them a bit less formidable than their two-eyed cousins. In The Odyssey, Odysseus is trapped in the cave home of Polyphemus the Cyclops. Odysseus tells the giant that his name is ‘Nobody’ and blinds him with a sharpened spike. When Polyphemus calls for help, he screams that he has been “hurt by Nobody,” which confuses the other cyclopses long enough for Odysseus to escape. Silly cyclops.
