Talc and ovarian cancer. ☜

For many years scientists have been concerned that talcum powder may be one of the causes of ovarian cancer. Women who powder the areas near the vagina or use talcum powder on sanitary napkins have a high risk of ovarian cancer. The incidence between the cases varies greatly those that only pass talcum powder through the genital areas and those that usually use sanitary napkins or tampons, compared to women who do not use it.

The talc easily finds its way up the reproductive tract.

Eventually some particles reach the ovaries and probably at the time of ovulation, they are absorbed into it. Those particles remain there and presumably trigger a reaction that can eventually degenerate into the formation of cancer cells.

Women should not use talcum powder anywhere near the vagina. Nor should they use talcum powder to powder sanitary napkins, much less tampons.

Interesting article. However, I see that from an early age children put powders on their genitals. Or does it depend on how they get it?

Thanks for your comment. But if it is true we must be careful is where we put the talcum powder, ps the idea is to place it in the crotches a little in the tail, but not much more, boys are not affected as much as girls. or to the ladies
