Today in Russia is the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos❤️. I used to collect photos of icons and was amazed by their diversity and beauty. It is especially interesting how the icons are painted by representatives of different peoples - Indians, Africans, Japanese, Chinese, Indians, Copts, Ethiopians. It's amazing and very beautiful! I'll show them to you sometime. This photo shows the miraculous icon of the Kazan Most Holy Theotokos of the village of Korobeynikovo of the Altai Territory. People come there to pray to the Mother of God about their needs, sorrows and problems, to ask for health, healing from various passions for themselves and their loved ones, happiness for their children. Previously, before covid, since 1999, a procession from Barnaul went to this icon every year. The procession went on for a week, 15-50 km a day, total 250 km. People walked along the highway and village roads from one village to another with icons, led by priests, and prayed for peace on earth and in their native country, for health and healing from physical, mental and spiritual diseases, from drunkenness, from lack of faith. It was an amazing and powerful event. During the procession, it was possible to take part in the sacraments of confession and holy communion several times, talk with priests, meet friends, and live a completely different life, unlike life in the city, which is full of bustle. The first procession was attended by 50 people. When I went in 2003, there were 300 people, and in subsequent years 500-600 people went. On the way, new people joined the procession and 1000 people already came to Korobeynikovo. And pilgrims from different cities came to the feast of things, and their number was several thousand.
