Flawed In a world where men are seen as Alfa's and more important, women on the other hand are perceived as weak and less important. In Africa especially, women are considered weaker and vulnerable as they are expected to be subjects to the men like they basically live their lives under the shadows of the men. This didn't just start today, it has been like that ever since and I can't really say if it's getting better or getting worst. The society has caused women to believe that they are not enough and women on the other hand tend to go out of line to prove otherwise but they can only die trying. A woman cannot be overly ambitious, if she tries, she would be pulled down by the society back to the shadow of the man where she is proclaimed to Belong to. Bad and unfortunate things are all attributed to the woman, if a woman is of marriageable age and isn't married, something is wrong with her, she is either called a witch or has bad behavior, then if she is married and her husband is displaying bad attitude towards her and he is not taking up his responsibility, something is still wrong with her, she is either accused of not being responsible her self or has done something wrong for the man to act in that manner, what if she can't conceive in the marriage, ofcourse it's her fault, I mean she is the one carrying the child after all she should be responsible for not being able to conceive, she is either tagged barren without the doctor pronouncing her so or she is accused of being reckless and irresponsible during her single days which resulted to she removing or damaging her womb due to series of abortions and abruptly the society forgets that men can be impotent or have a medical condition that can hinder them from bearing children, okay she is ambitious, go against all odds to achieve her dreams and now she's successful then the society muster-up to her “ no man will want to make you his wife because he will be intimidated by your success and you can't submit to him", she is divorced, independent and a single parent and ofcourse the society is there again to question her of why she left her marriage or she left her marriage to be promiscuous or continue her illicit affairs. Over time, we see women pass through all these and more and they keep struggling to be accepted regardless of what is thrown at them. The society made us to believe that the strength of a woman is measured by how much nonsense she can bear or how much pain she can handle, this narrative is wrong and needs to be dropped. I oblige women to be indifferent about how the society perceive them and restrain from trying so hard to be perfect because the truth is, they can't be perfect, they are not wired to be perfect because they are perfectly imperfect just the way they are.
