The Phone Call

I still can't get my mind off that strange looking guy that lurked around throughout the entire funeral today. He was dressed in a hospital gown. ***'For all I know, he could've escaped from a hospital or even a mental asylum.'*** Anyway I shouldn't be thinking about him, my friend was just murdered... I put my pjs on ready to sleep as my phone began to ring. ***'Who could possibly be calling me by 12:00am?'*** I pick up my phone and stare at the unknown number on my screen. I look at my battery percent ***"2%? No way I'm picking this call"*** I drop my phone and mute the call but... I can still hear it ringing. ***"Has my mute button broken?"*** I'm not bothered, the call will end itself anyway.. *I think?*.. My phone is still ringing and I'm there staring at it. ***"Is the tone getting louder or am I staring too deep?"*** **...** Now I'm lying on my bed with the lights switched off looking at my screen. It's 12:05am and my phone is still ringing. I pick the call but refuse to say a word. ***"Hello! Hello! Is anyone there?"*** a lady said while panting heavily like she could hardly breathe ***"Yes, who's this?"*** I respond holding my breath ***"Run he's coming for you, he's..."*** she said as the line disconnected ***'No shit! My battery's dead'*** ***'Hold on.. if it's dead, why can I still hear someone talking?!'*** I put the dead phone on my ear. This time I'm shaking on my bed, looking at the ceiling. The reflection of the trees moving on my wall isn't helping. Everything is creeping me out right now. ***"Hello?"*** I ask, breathing through my mouth ***"You're next! You're next! You're next! ..."*** the man's voice echo into my ear. I fly from my bed throwing my phone against the ground. The phone is no longer on my ear but I can still hear the echoes. It's getting louder. I think it's coming from inside my head. Everywhere is getting darker and I can't see a thing. I look to my right and try to reach out for my nightlight but his hands are already on it. *Now I know I'm truly next...*
