Secure Your Password One of my college friend asked me to help him to recover his Facebook account. He said his account was hacked and doesn't know how to retrieve it but the problem is I'm not good about recovering Facebook Hacked account and I told him to call Jeff (Our friend in college which a totally tech wizard guy). This is suprised he revealed to me that he using same password on his social medias and other platform accounts, meaning he using universal password. I said to him to check his all accounts if the password account is change. Most of his social medias have been hacked. Failed Guy... This is one of the problem of users (us) - "How to secure and make a strong password?". In my college and even in seminars I attended, instructor and speakers always mentioned to secure password because it's like a holy grail of your account. You need to check and monitor always your account when connecting internet to other places and login to other devices, who knows your last use of your account (login) is also the last goodbye too. Below is the lists you need to know how to secure and make a strong password. "This is my own opinion and ideas only" 1. Don't share your passwords. 2. Don't use universal password or same/recycle password to all your accounts. (Same happened to my friend) 3. In creating password, don't use sequential letters and numbers in keyboard like "123" 4. If you want a strong password it must be include letters (lower and uppercase), numbers, special characters/symbols and the length of password must be 8 and more. 5. In password, don't use your personal information (birth date, name and others) - Most of the users used this in creating password 6. My co-workmate doing this, he change his all password's account every 3-4 months. In my seminar I attended, the speaker said that changing password by months is a bad habit but it depends on the user 7. Keep your password safe (back-up and save). There are two ways, one is using Password Manager and other is write down your password in notebook - hide it and don't tell the others 8. Use two-factor authentication (2FA) 9. Always check the link or links you find in the internet. Some of them are phishing link - that's the technique of the hacker and scammer to get your password and personal information. Always remember "DYOR" Note: *My college friend's accounts has been recovered now. The person who hacked his accounts? His Ex-Girlfriend. He told to me earlier that his ex-GF removed all the pictures which they're together and also their conversation but my friend don't like to remove it because of their memories. (His ex-GF back his accounts and give the new password to him after the removing of images and convo) Well, no comment about this maybe the girl has a reason to do this.
