Epic Troubleshooting Earlier, one of my boardmates knocked on my door and held a laptop bag, which means I have another laptop to repair. He informed me that when he inserts the printer USB cable, his laptop does not open. When I checked the laptop, it appeared that the problem was on the inside and was caused by a short circuit. I told him I couldn't fix it because I lacked the necessary tools. After I said it, he kneeled and begged me to fix it (with tantalizing eyes) because it was his sister's laptop. I think it's an emergency 101 (his sister is a terror (hulk mode) when it comes to her things). I called one of my coworkers if he was available today and if it was okay to fix a laptop. It's good to know he'd say yes. When we arrived at his place, he informed me that there was a short circuit and a 5 voltage short occurred in the USB drive port, which detects the surge protection of the laptop. I'm not sure what he means because I'm not familiar with troubleshooting terminology. I only understand that he used a jumper to repair the laptop and warned us not to insert unknown devices into the port again (flash drives are ok). Note: the labor is free; we only gave him food in exchange for repairing my boardmate's laptop. When we returned to the apartment and then after a few hours, my boardmate rushed into my room and told me his laptop was no longer working again when he inserted his flash drive. When I tried to open it; I think it's fine, but I'm not sure what the problem is why it's not working. Then, out of frustration, my boardmate hit (hand) the back of the laptop, and I grabbed the laptop from him before it broke. I checked it, saw that the laptop was open, and I informed him it was working again. He simply smiled and said, "Dapat pala tinatakot ang laptop para gumana." *I can't believe what happened, but it worked and was effective; maybe next time I'll hit my laptop too. Joke hahaha
