Lumpiang Shanghai Story What makes a lumpia shanghai different from other foods? Yesterday, after work, one of my coworkers invited us to his birthday party, and since we're in gluttony mode, we said yes. In the home of one of my coworkers, I confirmed that there is always/occasionally a lumpia shanghai at any Pinoy party/celebration. I recall one of my virtual friends from the United States told me that his top three Filipino foods are Adobo, Pancit, and Lumpia Shanghai and that his Filipino friends cooked those dishes when he visited their homes. Back to the party topic, when my coworkers saw a lumpia shanghai on the table, they rushed over to grab it. The lumpia shanghai on the plate has vanished in an instant. I understand my coworkers' hunger and trembling tummies, but I want Lumpia Shanghai as well T T. Before we leave for my coworker's house (5 of us the last to leave). Prankmaster asked the birthday celebrant if there was a lumpia shanghai (this guy is too much just like a maggot ahaha), the celebrant (workmate) went inside on his house and when he returned he gave us a big plastic of lumpia shanghai and he said: "Here, thanks for assisting us in the issue in our project." (lumpia is our payment in helping them). Prankmaster grabbed it and said, "T, Just a simple issue, don't worry about it. if you have a problem again, just contact us and don't forget the lumpia shanghai." Facepalm, I won't join this guy again. Right now, my boardmates and I have a siesta and jamming as spare time. The Lumpia Shanghai I shared yesterday was our lunch and merienda. One of my boardmates became emotional when he saw the lumpia shanghai because it reminded him of the food he had when he first met her ex-girlfriend. Lumpia Shanghai side story xD I also have memories about lumpia shanghai and my crush before. It's just memories, old memories:)
