The first day of Bangla year is Pahela Baishakh. This day is introduced by the mughol emperor Akbar. At present, it has become part and parcel of Bangla cultural. The people of our country observe the day with joy. Last year we have observed the day. In this day I got up early in the morning. At present, the members of our family ate water rice with hilsha fish and green chilli.
Then we went to Ramona Botomul. We sang there "Esho Esho He Baishakh". The gentle wore panjabi and pajama. The women wore white shari. In this day the villagers arrange mela. About all classes people come there. They sell and buy various kind of necessaries. The children are seen to buy their toys.
They also fly their kite. The shopkeepers open "Halkhata" and offer sweet to their customers. After all it is the tradition of bangali culture.
