I graduated as a Salutatorian when I was in Elementary. I also received a lot of medals and awards during my stay there. When I entered High School, I was part of the cream section. Though I wasn't able to be part of the Top 10 Achievers, I landed on the 18th ranked out of almost 800 students in our high school. I was also awarded as one of the Math Wizards and Editor Ng Taon at the end of the school year. My college life was wonderful! There I met MrPepper who is my husband now. I was not able to graduate with flying colors but I was managed to represent our course in some Quiz Bee competitions.
I was part of the BPO Industry for almost seven years. I enjoyed my stay there. I have met some real friends, learned a lot of things about leadership, and the business world. I also received a lot of awards such as being Top Performer Agent, Top Performer Floorwalk, Top Performer SME and A-List Awardee. I also had a chance to do charity works as part of the giving back initiative of our Project to the community. And I became part of the Engagement Team, we handle the Project's Activities. I was awarded as one of the Most Outstanding Performers during my last year in that company.
*The medals and certificates are still in my father's house where I used to live.
I am not the materialistic type of girl. When I shop, I don't go after the brand. I always look for the quality and the cheapest price. So when my friend mentioned that she had some wallets and bags that came from abroad, I honestly had no intention to buy but for the sake of friendship, I told her that I'll give it a look. I first saw this and it was like love at first sight. I don't know what's with this wallet, but it got my attention and yeah, I fell in love with it instantly. I know it's Lacoste so it's really pricey. She offered it to me for only ₱3,000 roughly 60 USD. This is actually a huge one for just a wallet. I have a wallet that time that I bought in Baclaran, it's just cost ₱150 or 3 USD and a coin purse which is only Ten pesos or 0.20 USD. Just imagine the difference?! Hahaha but I still get the wallet. And I almost forgot I bought that as a gift for myself since it was almost my birthday. That is the most expensive gift I bought for myself and no regrets.
I don't have a plan on getting one until I realized that I need to prepare for my future family. Getting insurance is a must for me especially if you are the breadwinner. You may not realize the value of having insurance now, but when you're gone, this may save your family's future. I am planning to get one for Prince and Hubby, too! Maybe next year, I just need to get another client first hahaha
I know the feeling of having less to nothing. I know how hard it is to live each day with the fear of what will happen tomorrow. Been there, done that. And I don't want to feel that feeling again. So I decided to save up, again. I already did the Barya Challenge (that was famous years ago) and the Fifty Challenge too! That's where we get the budget for Prince's First Birthday and Baptismal early this year. I realized that it is a great idea to save even just a piso or bente. I used the gallon of Absolute 8 Liters before but now I go digital. I decided to use the auto-debit function of GSave of GCash. So I set an amount that will be automatically deducted from my GCash fund. If you have one, you can check it and try it too!
Before anything else, check these awesome people's works too. They all rock!
This little kiddo is the biggest fruit of my labor. Not that I didn't put too much effort into my previous achievements, it is just that he is far different from others. We are talking about human life here. Seeing him smile at me and hearing him laugh is priceless. He is the most precious fruit of my labor.
When we talk about Fruits of My Labor, we always end up thinking about material things. But haven't you realized that aside from those tangible objects we have, we can also consider that being able to touch someone's life thru your good deeds and effort is also one of the fruits of your labor. So keep doing what you are great at, you are already planting seeds to others without you even knowing it.
