Last night while I was bathing Prince, he grabbed our dipper and threw it away. The dipper had cracked and broken. I was thinking if I will put it in the trash or not. Then I remembered that hubby had an extra tape, so I ended up putting a tape on the dipper. Now, the dipper is still in the bathroom. We are still able to get some water using it.
What do you do if your so much loved cellphone fell and broke its screen? Are you gonna throw it away and buy a new one? Don't you wanna go to the cellphone repair shop first to have it checked?
Most of the time we equate being broken as being useless. While in fact, these two have a different meanings. A person or thing is broken if it has been damaged or has fracture, while useless is mostly used to refer to a thing that can not be used entirely. Having said that, there is no point in saying or at least connecting these two words.
The world we are living in is chaotic. At times we may feel like we have the whole world on our shoulders. We may experience mental health issues, feeling of being hopeless, too much exhaustion, family and personal problems are always present. All of these may overwhelm us. And it is normal, none of us will be able to escape this stage. But one should never feel alone and unworthy. For we are all loved in His eyes. We may be broken. Yes. Shattered into pieces by an unsuccessful relationships. Pierced through the heart by unwanted memories. Broken but definitely not useless.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
-Psalms 147:3
We all are created with purpose so do not ever think that you are useless. Even in our brokenness, we are still worthy. Accepting that He is our greatest healer can make the process of healing, even more, easier and faster. He literally will fix us. We just need to allow ourselves to be healed by Him. Learn to lean all the worries and burdens we are experiencing to Him. Keep the faith and never lose hope.
Trust in His timing. We may be broken now but who knows someday in the near future, we will be whole again. A new version of ourselves.
Trust His ways. He never let His children suffer alone. Have you forgotten that He literally died on the cross to save us? That is His way to show His love for us. He will give us reasons to test how faithful we are to Him, and He will also bring us and make us one again.
Before anything else, check these awesome people's works too. They all rock!
Some broken things need not be thrown away immediately. Sometimes you can fix things so you can still use them. You can do it alone but know that you can always seek help from others, from Him. Remember that, broken is not the synonym of useless.
My Thoughts
I once felt being broken. I once thought I was useless, unworthy, unloved. But I was wrong. I accepted Him and started to love myself even more.

I'm a very sentimental person so kahit sira na yung gamit di ko tinatapon kasi it's not just a thing but the memories of that thing. ❤ Indeed, God is our strength our refuge.
