Hey fellow programmers/enthusiasts! Here are some questions I love to hear about: What are your least favorite job interview fluff questions? (the kind that are "designed to see how you think" but actually are a waste) Mine is the three socks "riddle" I question whether I want to work at a place if they ask questions like this. Also, how do you typically prepare for a technical portion? I have been fortunate enough (since I KNOW I am NOT google or amazon material) to have some pretty light skills portions. They mostly represent SQL and general programming pseudo code on paper, or even actual locked down computer prototyping of a beefed up hello world app. I try to understand what the company does, and as much of their stack as I am allowed to know going in, but most importantly, I review what it is I told them I can do, and brush up on those skills. What is the strangest/most unrelated question that you have been asked that seemed unrelated to development, but felt applicable to you getting considered? The strangest and most frustrating question I ever had was when I interviewed at a local power distributer for a Dev position, and they asked me some pretty specific Engineering/physics/Electricity related questions in terms for calculating something. I can't remember what it was specifically but something related to kilowatt hours and resistance or something. Might have been a trick question. I didn't get the job though. #Programming
