Nature in itself is so diverse that we can hardly think of its extreme ends. Your post talks about plants bearing the same fruits and vegetables but they have different tastes, agree buddy it is a wonder of nature but sometime back had read an article on Van Aken in one of the publications, plant named after him which grows close to 40 fruits on a single tree. As far as I can understand it is a result of cross-pollination and grafting
