*Displaying Systems* 📱 When it comes to displaying systems, the two most popular variants are the LCDs the LEDs. The LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) operates on the principle of the polarization of light. The polarized light hits crystals suspended in a liquid to produces a light of a wide range of wavelengths. The LED (Light Emitting Diode), as the name implies, operates using tiny diodes that emit light as pixels for displaying. If asked which of them performs better, I would personally go for the LED ones as they are brighter and produce higher contrast images. That is why mobile devices with LED screens can be viewed effectively under direct sunlight and also have better viewing angles. The LEDs also consume far less power than LCDs. This is because an LED display can turn individual diodes off when portraying the color “black”. This feature gives LED displays its amazing dark images and supports the always-on displays on our mobile devices. Types of LEDs used in smartphones are the AMOLED and the P-OLED.
