Crazy day in school. The lecturer confusing us (the student) and students using lecturer brain. A question asked in class: Between -4000 and -5000 which one is greater? Answer: Lecturer : -5000 Students : -4000 Lecturer reason: because the course is about monetary value, if you owe Mr A $5000 which is -$5000 and Mr B $4000 which is -$5000 , who among them do you owe much amount? Hence -$5000 is bigger (Base on engineering economics) Student reason : on number line, -5000 is far away from 0 point as compare to -4000 hence -4000 is greater. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE ARGUMENT? Mine: number has different meaning to each field so interpret base on the subject matter. Crazy day filled with fun #RandomThoughts
