Thursday Memories on Photos

Hello my dear readerists, I was up already at 4:30 AM, my baby boy was crying and I guess he was not having a quality sleep since last night, perhaps because of teething so when I got him back to sleeping, I turned on my laptop and stared on my browser, I have to write but I can't think of what to write, although, I know there are so many things to share.

I resorted to reading articles and I stumbled upon @BreadChamp 's who shared some photos about her day and so here I am, picking some images from the gallery, I had taken quite a lot of images today, and let's base today's blog from these photos instead.

When you are a mother, a breastfeeding mother who is at home all day every day, you'll understand that being with the baby seems like making you a prisoner, there's that feeling that pops up sometimes, please don't judge me, many times, I try to do other things just so the husband can take care of the baby, even just for a while.

The things that I do which allow me to be away from Matti for a couple of minutes or maybe an hour are washing the clothes and preparing meals. And I did that both today.

Matti still is very interested in drums. Every after breakfast, he would go to the veranda on the second floor where the drumset is located and he'd go hitting on the drums and cymbals to his content.

I love this moment too because I can sit on the couch and just watch him as he plays but most of the time, he would pull my hand and ask me to sit on that chair and play the drums with him.

By the afternoon, I remembered I had to print the tarpaulin for the sister church's first anniversary which will commence on Sunday afternoon so I asked the husband to drive me to the printing shop in the main town.

Printing the tarpaulin was fast but since we also need to buy fruits for Matti, we decided to leave it and will pick it up after buying the fruits.

It rained, bummer! So the husband went out instead and Matti and I were left inside the car. We took selfies, the image above was just one of them, there were around 20-ish images and I have to delete the rest as they are blurry and we don't need that many photos of the same faces, right?

The husband was still outside buying apples, bananas, potatoes, and chicken. I forgot that my father requested us to buy green tea for him, my bad.

We came back to the printing shop, got the printed tarpaulin, and I asked James (husband) to buy some bread. Arbees bakeshop has tasty pandesal and they are available all day so he bought one and also bought other kids of bread. Our family is a bread fan, we need bread every single day!

I have been wanting to munch on these toasted peanuts from Cheding since February 24. I was surprised to find it in Alturas grocery store. Back when I was still working in Cebu City, I usually buy this at Metro Gaisano's grocery store but it's been years that I have not seen them getting a supply. Thankfully, I found this at Alturas when we were buying groceries for our getaway.

However, whenever I wanted to eat this, Matti would grab it from my hand and he is not yet allowed to eat peanuts because he might have a hard time digesting them. So, once again, I had to delay eating it. I got a handful and that's it, I had to keep it away again.

I truly understand why some moms go to the comfort room and eat there alone.

It was still raining when it was time to prepare for dinner. My sister-in-law was cooking Chicken Sotanghon when I arrived at the kitchen. At the same time, my father came in and brought with him some freshly picked local vine spinach from our backyard garden.

I told him I will cook it instead, we always have this during mealtime and I love this vegetable too, easy to grow and healthy too! Look at the photo above and compared it to the photo below, a pan full of uncooked spinach is only good for two to three people.

We usually add spinach in our soup or cook it this way with just garlic, onions, and tomatoes then sautee it and add soy sauce. It was cooked in no time, perhaps it only took me 10 minutes including the preparation. That's how easy it is to cook this vegetable.

But before I cooked the spinach, I already had placed some potato slices in the air fryer, I made french fries for Matti and the kids.

Deep-fried french fries look more appetizing compared to the air-fried ones but I like that this is healthier and that it doesn't require much attention. I just put it inside the air fryer and wait for it to finish, one batch takes 15 minutes to cook. I made two batches with just two huge potatoes.

Matti is not a rice eater, he would often not eat if there's rice on the plate so. I just sliced some chicken meat and also cut into the sotanghon shorter and separated them into different sections on his plate. I also added fries which he loves and he indeed finished them all.

He also ate chicken and sotanghon which made me happy. He is teething right now and we are always having a problem feeding him but tonight's a different story. I am grateful he ate what was on his plate. He even had some bananas!

That's it for today. I slept late though around ten in the evening because Matti wasn't sleepy yet and he was having tantrums whenever we try to hug him and give him some emotional support, he'd be pushing us away so I just gave him time but I slept and it was his father who put him to bed.
