I am excited to share with you a new game that I have just tried today! Yey... I am excited because it is free to play!
Note: the game is still in its beta phase so it is expected that there will be bugs along the way!
Without further ado, let me share with you - Karastar!
KaraStar serves as a monetary economy completely owned by the creators. And the developers of KaraStar not only sell digital items or resources, but also focus on the development of the digital world economy. The creators can earn money in the game. At the same time, a few fees will be charged from the creators to advance the process of monetization. UMY, the resource currency of the game, will be created by the player’s operations in the game and will be sold to other creators. As such, you can deem KaraStar as a country with a real economy. The government--the tax collector, is the owner of UMY; the players do their utmost to earn UMY by various means and circulate them through transactions and trades.
In short, this is a play-to-earn game project where creators are the users who perform daily to earn UMY, the currency of the game. It is developed by engineers from Zynga, Roblox, and EA, Singapore-based.
The game is Axie inspired which was just released last November 5, it is indeed very new, just four days ago and because having an Axie team is quite expensive at this point, I grabbed the opportunity to start this game. It is great to be pioneers of the game though but the best thing about it though is that there is free Kara upon signing up!
How to Get Started and Claim Free Kara Team?
I bet you are asking how to get started so you can start playing on your end! So without further ado, let's play!
Note: It is highly recommended that you perform the steps on your mobile app if you plan on playing it on your phone but if you want to stick with your computer, then that's fine. But for this article, I am showing you steps from the mobile app's perspective.
1. Install and Create Metamask Wallet
You can google how to download and create a Metamask wallet, this is an easy one though.
I made this the step because the rest will follow as soon as you have the metamask installed and the network setup.
2. Set up Karastar Network
Once the wallet is up, you go to the menu, then settings, then go to networks. Add a network and use the following settings:
Network Name: KaraStar
Network RPC URL: https://beta1-endpoint.karastar.com
Chain ID: 111
3. Sign up by clicking on the link below.

Signing up can be done in two ways:

Since we already have a metamask wallet set up, you just go and select log in with Metamask. Just press the Connect button afterward, open with Metamask, login to the account, and connect.
Note: You can still opt to sign up with an email though if you want.
Congratulations! You now have an account and can continue with claiming your free Kara team!
4. Claim Kara Team
Click on the Menu button and navigate to the Mine option. Click on Inventory and wait for it to load.
This is a slow page, it takes a lot of time loading so you can leave the phone and just let it load up your free Kara team.
5. Download and run app
Navigate to the home page, select the specific OS, Google Play or App Store and save the file apk. It will take a few minutes depending on your data or connection.
After downloading, just install, and run the app. It will do some version checks and download if it is not updated.
6. Login on the app
It's time to play! Just select wallet login and connect Metamask again and tada! It's time to play!
Gameplay
Every day, there are tasks to complete. We have 20 energy to use for these tasks such as daily login, dungeon battle, and arena battle. Five energies will be regained every six hours.
In the dungeon, there are normal monsters, BOSS monsters, and Treasure Boxes. Karas can fight monsters or open Treasure Boxes to gain experience, keys, and rewarded tokens.

My Experience
I have to say that I have encountered several errors from logging in to playing the game. I know that this is still in Beta and so whenever I receive bugs and errors, I just close and relaunch the app.
I tried playing both the dungeon and the arena games. The dungeon battles are very easy because it gives me several cards to throw while in the arena, there are limited ones only. I only had used a maximum of 3 cards and although I had my victories as well, there were a lot of fails too!
Perhaps I must read more about the characters, the specific Kara properties such as their health, speed, morale, and skill. There is also information per Kara that I can't understand such as its class, its body parts, and divine attributes.
I found that there's an option to evolve a pet within the game. I am not sure if Axies also have that but this is a great one to increase damage and skills.
Also, after two days of playing and joining the social media groups and channels, I found that after the Beta phase, the game will reset, all the Karas will reset but the tokens will be exchanged for a chest box which will contain prizes and the prizes is 100% profit according to their community manager. Let's just see what happens.
