All The Things Happening at My Defi Pet

It was just a week ago that season four of the World Boss ended. But surprise! When Monday came, the new season was released and everyone including my husband and I were surprised! Usually, it takes around two weeks for the bosses to appear.

First and foremost, I noticed that whatever NFT game it is, there are always those who would be disseminating fear and uncertainty. Well, I was one of those who had doubted this game, even was becoming uninterested with it but thanks to my husband who said he enjoys the game, he doesn’t care much right now if some only say negative about it. I guess that’s the only thing that matters today.

So, as the new season of the World Boss comes, I was also surprised to be seeing a lot of updates. There’s the new build update released just yesterday. Let’s talk about that right now.

Arena Alpha Version - Colosseum of the Wild

This is what most of the users had been looking forward to, this is the arena where players can fight against each other. The alpha version has been released but since it’s still in its development, there are going to be bugs for sure and there’s no reward at all in this stage. Of course, we would like to try how the arena works. Just like that in the marketplace, it was still in testing mode but a lot of users had already transacted and thankfully, there were no major issues that we had encountered with that feature.

Speaking of the marketplace, the current version 1 is already released officially. This marketplace is already stable but there will still be updates soon, user interface and more advanced features will be released on the next version.

Element Cages

There was something that the team had introduced, this is what they refer to as elemental cages. What is it anyway? Well, the social media pages of My Defi Pet had released many posts about the ice habitat, desert cage, and more but then they had to hold this first. However, they are already available for viewing only at the store. According to this build, they have to hold these cages for now but it makes me curious what these are for. Let’s see how it will affect the pets!

Expedition

Yet another surprise. Everyone had been asking for the hunting feature to be returned. Last year, pets can be sent for hunting or staking for a specific gas fee. The pets will be earning food and the pet master can harvest them at any time they want.

A few weeks ago, everyone was encouraged to withdraw them from the inventory so that the development team can continue with it. There was resistance because the team can’t make anything if the pet owners are still continuously sending their pets.

But the wait was not too long as the expedition has been introduced. While it was the hunting feature in the forest, this time, it is in the sea where the crew will take the boat but first, they have to prepare several items to be able to voyage. I saw last night that the expedition requires silvers, food, some nails, and pets! I am wondering where to get those nails but we will soon find that out once the expedition is released.

Mini-Game

Every pet master had expressed how they miss the food frenzy. It was asked and it was given! That food is harvested from the plants as well as the user’s experience.

This is very useful because the food is needed to level up pets, it is also a requirement in deploying pets and of course the expedition too.

Chinese New Year Theme

My Defi Pet has also been working on the user interface, updating it every now and then depending on the celebration happening throughout the world. Last December, it was Christmas theme where Santa Claus and his sleigh together with some of his reindeers would roam around the land distributing gifts. This time, with the Chinese New Year coming up, the world of My Defi Pet has been filled with Chinese lanterns, and instead of Santa, it's a Koi fish and some rider which I am not sure who would be distributing ampao everywhere. The ampao still contains food just like the Christmas gifts.

So this week is very interesting as more and more updates are coming over. What we are excited about is, of course, the Arena Battle and although it is still in the Beta version, a lot of pet masters are already playing in there, no rewards for now though.

That's it for now, I will update you with our ranking after a few days and since the boss fight will only last for around two weeks, I am sure that the arena will be released very very soon. This is making us all excited. 

And before I end this article, allow me to share with you that we finally got an ultimate and an arcana pet! Woot woot! After all the breeding and the waiting, we finally got one. I look forward to getting more and more nice pets, we are now slowly disassembling the common, epic, and rare ones.
