It was an interesting experience how a little bit of kindness can go so far. I have a new friend who had such a tough life it seems, of which I did not know. All I did was buy the friend a new phone because I notice the phone was so old and broken. Give a little bit of money, not much, probably enough for a month. And I was told that this is the first time anyone did such nice things in her entire life. Part of me is sad because I know I can't keep helping forever and I wish all my friends have a good happy life. I feel happy when I am surrounded by happy friends. But what I think I am trying to say is, some people have lives so difficult that when you show just a little bit of kindness, it changes their whole world. It also helps to put my own problems into perspective. Some people are struggling on a daily basis, just to put food on the table and not go to bed hungry. What is interesting is that if the governments don't spend all those trillions of dollars on war killing each other (and assuming no corruption to siphon off the money), those money would have lifted everyone, every single person out of poverty. And that's why I am sad because it seems like people are spending more money to harm each other than to feed each other. I do hope that having a new monetary system outside the control of governments can change all that. I am not sure but it's definitely worth a try.
