September is the birth month of my 2nd child, Lianne. She is soon to be 5 years old. Since her 1st birthday, her celebrations are not as convenient and abundant compared to her brother. Why? This is because every year, before her birthday there were difficulties that the family were facing. When my mom was still alive, August and September were her usual admission months. Most of our finances were spent for hospital bills. On her 1st birthday my Father and Mother-in-law were sick. On her 2nd and 3rd birthday, my mother was admitted. Last year, we go to Cabuaya and there was a strong wind and rain that made her cry and said "The rain ruined my birthday". And this year, 2 of our family members were tested positive with Covid. August and September every year were our struggle months "financially and physically".
Yet, amidst those trials, my daughter's birthday is always a testimony of God's grace and provision. We see how the Lord provide for our needs. We may not give her a "luxurious celebration" but it is always a blessing that we still have food to share in her birthday and there is always a way to celebrate the gift of life. Here are some of her photos for her celebration.
This year, we encountered another trial before her birthday but this should not stop us from celebrating another year of our Ate Lianne. So as early as last week, I bought some ingredients for the recipe that I am thinking that we are preparing. This is one of the tips a good friend told me, to buy ingredients ahead of time if you have extra budget so that you will not feel the burden of the cost when it is to be bought at once. Another one is avail promos, discounts and gift cards. It is so timely that I was able to redeem points from my Suki Card/ Loyalty Card and I have discounts for what I bought. So can you guess what the recipes that I have in mind?
We plan a simple celebration for her, and she understood too that we will not go to beaches because of the Covid restrictions. We will spend it here at home with the family. After what happened to us in the previous month, I am very hesitant to go to celebrations or host a celebration. It's not easy to be quarantined, and I am really praying that it would not happen to us again.
I will be sharing to you her birthday celebration, and that would be a week from now. I actually make a wallet for her birthday and the upvotes for this article will be added for our budget. I hope that Rusty will happily add for her celebration. Well, I am inviting him to the celebration but he should follow protocols. (Kidding aside) I have already withdrawn at least $26.00 for the groceries I had last week.
This article is in participation of @LykeLyca challenge on writing about "Celebration". I am picking the number #5 for the number. I sort of estimate it through your articles written, just a wild guess though.

Before I end, I just wanted to share as well my experience in noise.cash. Yesterday, they posted about an attack in the site and some of our email addresses and passwords were hacked and last night I am notified that there was an attempt to login my Gmail account somewhere in Russia. I immediately changed all my passwords for all my accounts. And it is not really advisable to just use one password for all accounts. It may be convenient but it is vulnerable to any attacks. It is just alarming that this is really happening anywhere. I hope that the security of both platforms will be strengthened.
