Check out this amazing view of a group of salt lakes near Dalwallinu, Western Australia — it's nature's paint palette! 🎨 Photographer Daniel Metcalf said he was on a joy flight from the WA Wheatbelt to Geraldton when he came across the stunning scene between Dalwallinu and Ballidu. Wetland ecologist Adrian Pinder told NASA Earth in 2015 that WA's salt lakes differ in color as a result of differing sediments, aquatic and terrestrial plant growth, water chemistry, algae, and hydrology.
