PHILIPPINES’ WORLD WAR 2 MEMORIAL CROSS 🇵🇭 79 years ago, after an almost 4 months of resistance from the invading Japanese Forces, the remaining Joint US-Philippine Commonwealth Forces in the Province of Bataan surrenders to the enemy, the last territory in Southeast Asia to fall under the Axis Powers. On the same provice, a memorial were erected on a mountain top to comemorate the fallen Filipino and American soldiers who fought for the freedom of the Philippines. Standing 93m (302 ft), this monument was completed in 1970 dominating the skyline of the province that can be seen 50 kilometers away in Metro Manila on a clear day.
