Morus), is a genus of perennial deciduous trees and shrubs from the eponymous family (Moraceae). This genus includes 10-16 species, distributed in the temperate and subtropical zone of the northern hemisphere. Most species originate from Asia. Plants are monoecious or dioecious. The leaves are simple, alternately arranged. The flowers are unisexual, gathered in dense tassels (male inflorescences are oblong, female round). The fruits are tightly glued on a common axis and fused together, thus making the fruits bloom (mulberries, mulberries) which are edible. [1] White and black mulberries are mostly grown in Serbia. In addition to food and for the production of brandy (mulberry), white mulberry (its leaf) is also used as food for silkworm larvae
